Six Months

Griffin and Jack turned 6 months on the 19th of this month.  Here are some pics from the actual day- I was by myself and its just very difficult to get them to sit up and look at the camera.  Speaking of sitting up- the boys are trying very hard but not quite there yet.  They have really started to show their personalities in the last month.  Griffin is very  outgoing- smiles at everyone he sees, doesn't know a stranger.  He lets us know when he is unhappy or bored with his current activity.  He just recently has started to squeal when I walk away from him- I tell him that I am coming right back or that I'm going to fix his milk and he usually calms down.  Its funny! And I love that he wants me around.  Jack is just precious- he constantly has a smile on his face- he isn't as vocal as Griffin and doesn't mind playing on his tummy for a very long time.  He loves our dog and he often laughs at Griffin when he starts crying.  He is so patient- he lets me tend to Griffin and waits for me to calm him down. Both boys are into textures- they are always touching and rubbing our couch, my clothes, and the rocking chair in the nursery- sometimes at bedtime that is how they fall asleep- just rubbing on their sheets.  Its too sweet.  No teeth yet but they are chewing on everything and drooling.

Some stats from the 6 month visit:
Weight:  Griffin 17 lbs 9 oz
               Jack 17 lbs 1 oz

Height:
               Griffin:  26 1/2 inches
               Jack:  26 3/4 inches

And Griffin head circumference is still 1 inch bigger than Jack's

Mom, what is this cork board? I've never felt that before!

Griff

Jack, notice the drool on his shirt- we constantly change clothes and bibs throughout the day.

The best pic I could get- looking at the toy that I'm shaking.

We started feeding the boys solids, so far they have had Rice Cereal, Oatmeal, Butternut Squash, and Sweet Potatoes.  They are doing really well and its a lot of fun to watch them taste something new for the first time.
Grady gets a kick out of all the straps, harnesses and buckles that come on baby gear these days- he stays that they look like they are about to take off to the moon.

Rice Cereal- not so great.  I tasted it- it tasted like grits if I only could add some butter and cheese- I'm sure they would like it much more!

Jack did great with his first feeding

Yum! Butternut squash pre-puree.

We haven't had any company in several weeks and it has given us a chance to really get into our routine.  We love our weekends when daddy is home and mommy gets a little break.  Grady has so much fun with the boys.  He plays with them and can really make them laugh. This weekend we went to the Navarre Sand Sculptors competition and the boys were doing so good we decided to venture down to the Pensacola Seafood Festival.

The weather was perfect- slightly overcast so we just found a spot in the grass to feed the boys.  There were bands playing so they got to hear a little Margaritaville and Brown Eyed Girl.

Love my jumper Ashley!

I took this picture on Sept 13, the day that Zachery Price was born.  Griffin and Jack are officially big cousins.  We are going to meet Baby Zachery next week.

We go for a walk everyday, sometimes two.  The boys love it and it gets me out of the house.  They are paving a road in the neighborhood so this is the perfect place for us to walk since there is minimal traffic.

I put the boys' football pajamas and bibs on for the first NFL game of the season.

Jack was very excited about kick-off.

Griffin- Not so much! LOL!

Maybe basketball season will be more his thing.

The boys left this note for me on the changing table during the night.  Other than some letter reversal issues- they really are advanced!!  Seriously, I don't know what I would do without Grady.  He is my biggest fan and encourages me everyday.  Staying at home all day with teething twins and interrupted sleep is the hardest thing I have ever done and its nice to know that at the end of the day- Grady is there to tell me that I'm doing a great job.  Love him!!
