7 Months

The last month has been a lot of fun at the Crooks house- most importantly- it was my birthday month! Just kidding! It really was my birthday in October but the boys didn't get the memo and therefore didn't sleep through the night, did poop in their diapers, and I'm pretty sure that I changed shirts 3 times that day due to drool and spit-up. . . but nonetheless it was the best birthday I have ever had.  Griffin and Jack are now 7 months old and doing more and more everyday.  It is so much fun to watch them grow-up and interact with each other.  They really do play with each other now and make each other laugh. . and occasionally cry.  Both boys are teething like crazy and Jack is able to sit up like a big boy.  Griffin is trying to sit up but he really doesn't seem to interested and is quite content lying on his stomach.  He is very strong in the shoulders and since he spends more time on his tummy than Jack- I won't be surprised if he starts to crawl first- we shall see.  I would like to enjoy their immobility for a few more weeks.  My sweet husband surprised me for my birthday by flying my best friend from optometry school, Ashley, to Florida for the weekend.  I was completely surprised and loved every minute of our weekend.  Since Grady was traveling most of October- the boys and I were in Deville for 3 weeks and what a great 3 weeks it was.  We got to see lots of old friends and family as well as we got to meet Zachery for the first time. He is such a little cutie pie and has more hair than both of my boys combined!  It has been a lot of fun staying at my parents- my mom is a huge help with the boys and dad loves that our boys are so easy going.  I have heard him tell people that they are such a joy to have around. . . thank goodness he doesn't mind the middle of the night disturbances.  Here are some pictures of the last month.  I love this time of year and I am looking forward to such a fun holiday season with our new baby boys.

Below are some pictures from when my parents came to visit in Navarre.  We took the boys to the Butterfly House and apparently Navarre is in the migration pattern of the monarch butterfly on its way to Mexico.  We didn't see many butterflies but it was a fun day with the grandparents.
My dad is tall- oops! I cut off his head in this pic.  Jack slept the entire time- not the butterfly enthusiast that Griffin is.

Can you see the butterfly?

Working with Griffin on sitting up.

Jack loves to play with our dog

Griffin with his Physical Therapist, Laurie.  Griffin has to do PT because of his position in the womb making his neck muscles a little tighter on one side than the other.

He loves PT!!

Best birthday ever.

Especially since Ashley was there!!

Getting to know Pawpaw Lloyd's cows

Brady is such a good cow dog- HA!

Jack taking a big boy bath at moms

And Griffin seems to enjoy his new bath seat too.

Jack sits up so good now.

Mawmaw Katy with all her grandbabies. Griffin DOES NOT like Zachery's cries.  He gets very upset.

Its hard to get a good picture with this many kids.

The official 7 Month picture.
Eating their avocado. The boys love to eat- they have quite the versatile palate.  So far they have had yellow squash, zucchini, prunes, avocado, butternut and acorn squash, pumpkin, apples, pears, bananas, carrots and asparagus.

YUM- zucchini!!

Halloween night- Griffin was a shark and Jack was a surfer- we went with a Florida theme.  Madison was a LaLaLoopsy and Reece was the Red Power Ranger.  Such a fun evening.
